Agent says Russian will snub move to Anzhi and stay at Arsenal

Out-of-favour forward Andrey Arshavin wants to remain at Arsenal despite being linked with a move to mega-rich Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, according to the playmaker’s agent.
The 30-year-old diminutive Russian has been heavily linked with Anzhi recently, with many reports claiming ‘preliminary talks’ had taken place between the player and the big-spenders.
Arshavin, who has also attracted interest from Lazio and former club Zenit in recent weeks, appears despondent at the Emirates after being benched for the majority of the season and Anzhi are keen to offer the attacking midfielder an escape route out of north London.
