Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starts for England vs France

Arsenal’s versatile midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken another huge step forward in his playing career with England manager Roy Hodgson selecting the 18-year-old to start against France.
The relatively new Gunner who little over twelve months ago was still playing League One football was Roy Hodgson’s ‘wild card’ selection for this years Euro’s and many expected the youngster to play a relatively low key role.
But since gaining his first cap over two weeks ago, and then earning his first start a week later in the Three Lions last friendly against Belgium, it seems he’s produced enough to earn a place ahead of club-mate Theo Walcott who is on the bench.
Gunners defender Laurent Koscielny is among the substitutes for the French.
