Almunia: I left Arsenal as a gentleman

Ex-Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia, who left the club this summer and signed for Watford, has been speaking about his last year at Arsenal as well as how he is settling in to his new club.  Speaking to the press, the 35 year old said
The last year wasn’t very difficult because I accepted my situation; I went to training every day, I enjoyed the football and staying at a nice club.
I was trying to teach the young goalkeepers because I knew it was my last year so I did try to enjoy one last year at a big club.
I believe I left Arsenal as a gentleman and people know that. It was really difficult two years ago though, maybe more difficult because I expected to play more, and better.
Many people who have followed me for a long time on the main blog know how I felt about Almunia the player but I can have absolutely nothing bad to say about Almuni...
