So, despite all the media monkeys with their talk of a club in crisis, let’s have an objective look at the Arsenal squad so far for the season ahead. (An objective look tinged with optimism, of course.)

Let’s make no mistakes here; we all love Sczs but at times we did get swept away in a wave of euphoria over his performances last season. I don’t doubt that he’ll go on to be a star for us in the future, and he has some qualities that already make him comparable with some of the league’s best, but he is also prone to moments of madness. Perhaps we are so keen to elevate his ability level as we haven’t really had a reliable ‘keeper for the last few seasons, but I still think he has some developing to do.
