The life of a transfer rumour in the digital age depends on its quality, and Anderlecht GM Herman van Holsbeeck was quick to rubbish any thought that his star Senegalese midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate was headed for the Premier League and Arsenal in particular.
In an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, Van Holsbeeck declared, "There has been no bid for him. We know some clubs have looked at him and he has been in the spotlight. I don't see anybody leaving, but if he leaves it would be for a lot of money - but Kouyate cannot move to the Premier League because he has not played matches for Senegal."
