Arrogant Alex Ferguson learns a lesson in humility

I think Sir Alex Ferguson is finally catching up to the fact that Manchester United is no longer the force it used to be in the footballing world. In less than 48 hours, he has been hit with two transfer disappointments. First, his planned attack combination of Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie has hit a major roadblock with the North London club not willing to part with their captain for the amount United is offering. Second disappointment came when Brazilian starlet Lucas Moura has apparent chosen PSG over Manchester United as his first European club.
Although I think that RVP will still eventually end up at Old Trafford, it is good that Arsene Wenger and his team are sticking to their guns and giving up their asset for peanuts. I guess Sir Alex is used to having players clamouring to get to United so each time he does not get what he wants, i...
