Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Timothy, can’t be bothered, to write a post today. Heh! So we’ll keep it short. In the first half I thought we largely looked fine, though after scoring were far too content to play within ourselves. (Hello, 67% possession.) This might be a new look, more pragmatic team, but perhaps we’ve been overly optimistic to assume they’ve left all the bad habits behind, because going one up, sticking the handbrake on, and then letting in the first – hell, *only* – shot on target sounds awfully familiar.
The second half was a crescendo of urgency, in which the game ought to have been put to bed but for a combination of wonky finishing and inspirational keeping from Hennessy. Some of the talk afterwards...
