Arsenal are reluctant to sell Star to Manchester United

Manchester United Coach, Sir Alex Ferguson, has stated that talks with Arsenal have been put on hold, but is trying to do as much as he can to land Arsenal wantaway Robin van Persie.
After losing to European Rivals, Barcelona in a  pre-season game, Alex Ferguson said that he is trying to land the Arsenal captain. But Arsenal are unwilling to sell the star man to any Premier League Club but is hopeful a deal can be struck.
‘We have made a bid and they’ve been trying to negotiate with other clubs,’ said Ferguson. ‘I don’t have a gut feeling on it at the moment, I must admit.
‘We’re not getting any breakthrough with Arsenal. It’s difficult to say why they’re operating this way. I don’t know what their thoughts are because they’re not giving anything away.’
