Arsenal have revived their interest in Serie A side Inter Milan’s playmaker Ricky Alvarez, having lost out on him in 2011.
Following the sale of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri at the start of the previous campaign, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had set his sights on 24-year old Alvarez to fill the playmaking void left by the duo’s departure. However, the London club lost out on him as they were not able to compete financially with Inter, who offered Alvarez’s former club Velez Sarsfield more money than the Gunners.
