Arsene Wenger has received the backing of Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood ahead of the Gunners’ crunch Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
The Arsenal boss is under increasing pressure after Saturday’s shock FA Cup defeat to Blackburn left the club likely to end the season without a trophy for the eighth year in a row.
Bayern visit the Emirates Stadium as overwhelming favourites and another poor display would see further scrutiny heaped onto the former Monaco manager.
But Hill-Wood has urged patience and is backing Wenger to come good again.
