Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been put in a spot, after news of his deputy Pat Rice quitting the job after the current turbulent season in the Barclays Premier League.
Rice had been requested to come out of retirement to help Wenger with proceedings, but now has chosen to finally call it a day due to his injury troubles. Wenger has been an admirer of Rice’s commitment to the job and reluctance to share the attention.
Wenger commented on the possible ouster of Rice and said, “It will be decided very very soon and I will decide after that. It looks like he (Rice) could stop, but it is not official yet. Pat is fantastic. He works every day hard and never speaks to the Press – fantastic!
