Arsenal forward Joel Campbell to spend season with Real Betis

Joel Campbell, Arsenal’s 20-year-old Costa Rican forward, will be sent out on loan again this season to gain more top-flight experience. However, instead of heading back to France, where he spent last year with Lorient, he’ll be moving to sunny Spain to lace up his boots with Real Betis of La Liga’s Primera Division. Even if the Gunners wanted to hang onto Campbell this season it doesn’t seem possible since he’s reportedly been turned down for a British work permit for the second time.
