Arsenal- Good Finish To A Difficult Season

It was a difficult summer for Arsene Wenger as he tried to prepare his team for the upcoming season after the disappointment of yet another trophy less season and the disappointment of a shock defeat in the  Carling Cup final to Birmingham City. Wenger was facing problems as Cesc Fabregas, the Gunners skipper showed his eagerness to end his Arsenal career and to go back home to his childhood club Barcelona. Wenger had no luck in convincing Cesc to stay as Barca did everything in the power to lure Fabregas back to the club without taking Arsenal’s interests into consideration. This decision was hard enough without having the problem of Samir Nasri’s contract problems which put his future in doubt.
