Arsenal In Hot Pursuit Of Talented England Under-19 Defender

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have locked horns in chase of Nottingham Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles, after the youngster impressed a few at the England under-19 level.

The youngster has been at the Forest youth ranks, until he received an offer of a professional contract in 2011, which he signed in March last year. Just then, Forest received an offer they never could have dreamed of for an 18-year old, as north London side Arsenal came into the picture, lodging a £5 million bid. Although the bid had been rejected by the club, it led to the defender’s name circulated amongst other Barclays Premier League clubs who looked to lure the defender away through a bidding war.
