Arsenal have managed to retain third position heading into the final match of the season thanks to Manchester City and Aston Villa stripping points from Newcastle and Spurs.
After Saturday’s drama-filled 3-3 draw with Norwich the Gunners needed some luck to maintain third place in their quest for Champions League football next season. Thankfully Newcastle were well beaten 2-0 by Premier League leaders Manchester City, while Spurs could only manage a 1-1 draw with relegation battling Aston Villa who only needed a point to secure top flight football.
