Thomas Vermaelen has expressed his love for Arsenal and his admiration for Gunners manager Arsene Wenger after the Frenchman demonstrated his believe in the central defender during his long injury layoff’s.
The Belgian international was rewarded with a fresh contract when he was on the sidelines earlier this season, and ‘The Verminator’ is eager to repay his faith to his manager through expressing his loyalty to the north London side.
Vermaelen admits he ‘feels like a real Gunner’ and has become one of the most formidable defenders in the Premier League since his arrival from Ajax two seasons ago.
He told The Mirror:
I have never known a manager so loyal to his players. He shows immense trust and has shown incredible loyalty towards me.
