Arsenal and England winger Theo Walcott made a significant impact in England’s group stage match against Sweden, coming off the bench to net the equalizer and set up the winner to give England a 3-2 victory.
It hasn’t been the best tournament so far for Walcott after being left out the starting line-up in favour of the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner in the last two games, but the pacy winger showed what he could do after coming on at the hour mark with England down 2-1.
Granted Walcott’s first goal was a little lucky after he picked up the ball on the edge of the box after a corner was cleared by the Sweden defence. The on-rushing Sweden defence blocked Isakkson vision of Walcott’s swerving shot which ended up completely deceiving the Swedish keeper.
