Alex Song Linked With A Fraudulent Academy In South Africa

Alex has been robed in as one of the funders of one Cape United Soccer School of Excellence that was established in Cape Town.
Firstly, it is said that the academy wasn't registered by SAFA (South African Football Association). Chief Executive of SAFA said:
‘I have never heard of this academy and they have certainly not been endorsed by SAFA. They can't come in without having the sanction or an endorsement from the national association and the sports department or the education department. It's against new regulations which were introduced last year.'
It is said that about £80,000 are invested in each of the young boys in the academy and if they made it to the top level, then their sponsor would have 40% of their first transfer.
Names linked as sponsors are Ian Wright, George Eastham, Julio Arca, Stephen Warnock, Alex Song, Mamadou Sidibe, and Danny Collins.
