Arsenal make Bendtner swap offer for Vucinic - Report

Italian tabloid Gazetta Dello Sport are claiming Arsenal have made a £13m bid for Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, despite his agent earlier refuting any "real" contact with Arsenal, confirming there has been no official offer tabled by the Gunners. Sources in Italy are now adamant that situation has indeed changed and that Arsenal have opted to include Nicklas Bendtner in the deal. Vucinic's agent did however admit to Wenger being a huge fan of Vucinic and did say the club were interested. How pleased Bendtner will be with all this is yet to be seen, a man re-born after the sale of Adebayor, itching to prove his worth next term. I do believe there to be an element of truth in this story, as the boss seems intent on his usual clear out policy each summer. Nothing surprises me when it comes to who we might sell. I don't see Bendtner as indispensable either, but I do feel he deserves a chance next year to show Arsenal fan's the quality he possesses. Then again, to gain a striker with Vucinic's qualities, sacrificing Bendtner wouldn't be the worst move in the world.
