clipped from goal.comArsenal are reportedly set to improve captain Cesc Fabregas' contract in order to keep him at the club and deflect any interest from Barcelona. The young Gunner has been linked with a move back to Spain all summer, with Barcelona reportedly keen to bring the 22-year-old back to the Camp Nou.However, Fabregas has repeatedly insisted he will stay at the Emirates for the time being and now he could be rewarded for his loyalty. The News of the World reports that the north London club will begin negotiations with a view to improving his current £90,000 a week deal. The report claims that manager Arsene Wenger is well aware that Barcelona could bid for his skipper next summer and wants to improve his deal in the hope he will remain at Arsenal long-term.Despite all the speculation surrounding his future, Fabregas has made a superb start to the season, bagging a brace in last weekend's thrashing of Everton and also starring in the midweek win against Celtic.
