The overall feeling amongst Arsenal fans over the speculation currently surrounding the Arsenal captain seems to be one of acceptance, but there still lies the underlying hope the Spaniard will have a change of heart. The only way that could become a reality it seems, is if Wenger can convince him of the club's ambition, something he failed to do during his reported meeting with the Catalan born star. Fabregas considered a move last season, yet the manager angled for one more year from his captain and he got what he asked for. However with Arsenal coming up short again the same question has been posed and the response looks likely to be different this time around, especially as he has already told the boss he wants out. Barcelona believe they can grab Cesc for £30m, as they still feel bitter over the way the Gunners signed him under their noses in 2003. Arsenal will no doubt feel this is wishful thinking and are unlikely to accept an offer under £40m. Wenger has a fight on his hands to keep hold of the jewel in his crown, and the only way it seems is to sign ready made, proven talent in order to sway Fabregas's head once more.
