Cesc Fabregas named new Arsenal captain

It was been revealed in the last few minutes that Cesc Fabregas IS the new Arsenal captain. Arsene Wenger, still in silent mode revealed the spaniard will take the captaincy on a permanent basis. "Fabregas will be the captain, permanently. I do not have to explain to you why." With Gallas returning to training today there has been rumblings throughout the morning suggesting he has a chance to play on tuesday. Further rumours stated that Gallas was given an ultimatum by Wenger, where he would have to apologise to the entire Arsenal team or face losing the £10m he would earn within the next few years - and could end up having to leave Arsenal alltogether. However, Wenger has said Gallas WILL play in the champions league game against Dynamo Kiev tomorrow, backing up his comments post match on saturday, where he confirmed Gallas does indeed still have a future at the club. "Gallas will play on Tuesday, but Cesc will be the captain, I have made that decision," Wenger also said he does not regret making Gallas captain in the first place. A super move and I believe all gooners will be chuffed to bits to hear Cesc is the new captain. His form hasn't been extraordinary but suggestions he has been poor is quite harsh for me - the whole team has been poor. This is an opportunity the 21-year-old will no doubt relish and grab the responsibility with both hands. His ability to command the ball with his movement in midfield, his creativity and intelligence makes him the heartbeat of this Arsenal side and the ideal candidate to succeed Gallas and become a great captain, even considering his tender age. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time - and Arsenal fans will no doubt welcome some good, GREAT news this afternoon, making a change from all the negativity. Hopefully we can push on from here.Source Insurance - Auto, Article quotes Insurance - Auto, Quotes reliabilty Insurance - Auto , Credibility Insurance - Auto, Overall Quality Insurance - Auto, Accuracy Insurance - Auto
