City chairman confirms Ade capture?

Manchester City chairman Gary Cooke has reportedly confirmed to South African radio station Metro FM deals taking both Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor to Eastlands have now been finalised. If true, it would prove to be a huge day in the history of Man City, completing signings for two of the premiership's big name strikers. Having been left frustrated in their pursuit for Samuel Eto'o, it looks like City highlighted Adebayor as a secondary option and looks like they have their man. A day of frantic negotiations has also shown the fact City wanted to avoid another long drawn out saga as experienced with other targets, and it seems Arsenal are just as keen to get a deal concluded quickly. Arsene Wenger has been very public about his willingness for his striker to leave the club, refusing to rule out selling Adebayor to a rival, and even lately conceding "Adebayor will leave if he wants to". Sky Sports are claiming City have offered Adebayor a 5 year deal worth £170k a week, and have negotiated a bid of around £22m with Arsenal. It looks like it's a case of when rather than if a deal is announced, and this opens the door for Marouane Chamakh to make the switch from Bordeaux to North London. Chamakh has been earmarked as Adebayor's replacement and has been said to be taking his time over his future, waiting for Arsenal to come in for him. It looks like he may well get his wish. An incredibly tireless worker, devastating in the air, agile, pacey with quick feet sums up Chamakhs game. His finishing overall will need to improve but I believe under Wenger that will come and in my view he is more than a worthy replacement for Ade if he does arrive and the latter departs.Source Insurance, Quality Insurance, Reliability Insurance, Frequency Insurance, Interactivity Insurance
