It was disappointing end to a match in which the defence worked harder than the attack. Players like Vermaelen and Song worked their socks off, while the attacking players were contented with passing the ball around. They seemed to feel 1-0 was normal and they are tough enough to ride it out.Wenger spoke after the match of his players being "naive". But how many times have seen them being "naive" last season. It is a sign of an old problem - losing concentration in vital moments, and lest I forget, susceptibilty to long balls into 6-yard box.It is my hope that these kind of problems are just one-off this season. Let's hope the draw in Holland will motivate the players into being more ruthless against West Ham and in subsequent matches. And will someone teach 6-foot Diaby how to head the ball? Sheesh!
