Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas put in a quite brilliant display to help inspire his side earn a convincing victory over Blackburn Rovers today. The Spaniard scored a beauty with his left and set up another four goals, capping off a great weekend for Arsene Wenger and his side. The day didn't start off too brightly however, with Blackburn taking the lead within 5 minutes, Nzonzi with the header looping over Mannone. Top scorer Vermaelen put the gunners back on terms with a delicious finish from 25 yards, giving Robinson no chance. Blackburn re-took the lead with a deflected effort cannoning off William Gallas via David Dunn. Arsenal restored parity however with two quick goals coming from Arsenal's left, both assisted by Fabregas and coolly finished by Van Persie and Arshavin respectively. After the break it was all Arsenal and the captain got the goal his performance merited, a screaming strike with the left foot, wide of Robinson in the Blackburn goal and in the top corner. He celebrated passionately by kissing the Arsenal badge, responding to claims he wasn't fully commited to the cause.Blackburn did have a couple of moments themselves but Walcott, coming on as a substitute and after his long injury lay off finished off a sweeping typical Arsenal move as the gunners turned on the style. Bendtner wrapped things up with another, fine effort from outside the box. A great day for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, celebrating his 13 years at the club. Great to see Theirry make an appearance too, recieving an outstanding ovation before the game from the fans. Fourth place with a game in hand on the rest. It's looking good.
