Kroenke and Usmanov join forces

An unlikely alliance was formed last night with the two rival major shareholders of Arsenal football club coming together to convince Arsene Wenger to stay at the club. To me it always looked like yet another master stroke from Wenger, even though he did have me going this time. As time went on though it became obvious he was sending a warning shock down the spines of the board and fans (the ones who slate him). It seems to have worked. He knows he deserves a lot more respect than he's got from some quarters. With Arsenal fans preparing a march at the final game of the season this sunday against stoke at the Emirates, Wenger will be of no doubt just how valued he is by the club in it's entirety, and that's including 99% of the fans. Even with his comments yesterday in the daily mail, he still remained equivocal: "I'm staying, if that changes I'll let you know"The key words are all there to see. He knows just how scary the thought of Arsenal without him is, and he wants to get that point across. I have no doubt his heart is at Arsenal and he wouldn't leave a project he's put his heart and soul into half way. He want's to see it through, that's why I believe Kroenke and Usmanov begging him to stay bears no relevance, apart from the fact it shows everyone at the club is behind him.
