New French president Francois Hollande is an Arsenal fan

Recently inaugurated at the Elysee, new French president Francois Hollande spent the last 4 years as the President of the General Council of Corrèze, a French department which counts Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny as a native.

It was at a local football club in Corrèze that Koscielny and Hollande met with locals last year, the defender presenting Hollande with a Koscielny Arsenal jersey of his very own, before both men answered questions from the locals.


Laurent Koscielny was bought from French Ligue 2 side Tours FC in 2010 and has adapted quickly to life as a Gunner and is now capped fro the French national side.
Born in Tulle, Koscielny played for local sides Brive, Tulle Corrèze and Limoges before turning professional and moving to Guingamp.
