Several members of the morning's press have indicated that Arsenal are lining up a stunning 3 way raid at the expense of Newcastle United. Shay Given, Steven Taylor and Charles N'zogbia are the players Wenger is keen on and is seriously considering bids. Given has been closely monitored by Arsenal scouts and were reluctant to make a move in the summer due to injury concerns but having played nearly every Newcastle game this season, Wenger is ready to make his move. Taylor is a player Wenger has long admired and if reports are to be believed he want's to build an english spine to his faltering Arsenal side. Great news if true, as it's needed. The final peice of the Jigsaw identifies Charles N'zogbia who has been ranting all over the place for a while now, insisting he want's a move to take his career to the next level. One wonders after three years at Arsenal will he do the same and talk about Madrid. However he has said in the past, Arsenal are his dream club. He would provide width, pace and ability to score goals, versatility as he can play left back too. I believe Wenger knows he MUST do something in the window, regardless of what happens this afternoon v Pompey. Those three would be great in my view, all with premiership experience and all solid players. Taylor with that bit of bite, Given a world class keeper and N'zogbia a potentially world class winger. Sign a ruthless ready made striker on top of that (Defoe) and I'm over the moon. Ofcourse, whether ANY of this will happen is up for debate, as with Wenger you just never know, but it definately is an exciting prospect.
