Rangers approach Arsenal for Jack Wilshere

clipped from www.imscouting.com In one of the more surprising rumours of the transfer window so far, The Times report this morning that Rangers have contacted Arsenal over starlet Jack Wilshere.Coming in the "long shots" section of their window watch, Gary Jacob writes: "Rangers have made an approach to sign Jack Wilshere, the Arsenal attacking midfield player."It seems more than likely that the move from the Scottish giants was a loan offer as a number of young Gunners have been loaned out in recent weeks.Wilshere was hugely impressive in the Emirates Cup win over Rangers at the beginning of the month. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder scored claimed a brace in a 3-0 victory and clearly caught the eye of Rangers manager Walter Smith. So far this season Wilshere has played 18 minutes of football, in the 3-1 win over Celtic last week.
