We all know what we are seeing is the worst run of form an Arsenal side has produced for many years, but goodness me do our fans go over the top. Reading up on some of today's bloggers, "Arsenal fan's" comments, it's not difficult to fathom we have some of the most spoilt fans in all the land baby. "I'm ashamed to be an Arsenal supporter". I mean, I was lost for words when I read that headline, yes we're not up to scratch, five 0-0 draws isn't good enough for the Arsenal, and yes the fans were right to boo the lads off the pitch, but for fans to once again hurl growing abuse at our manager and saying they're ashamed of being an Arsenal fan is bemusing to say the least. Do you see West Brom fans saying "ah my team is a disgrace f*** off Mowbray"? They are at the bottom of the league, rock bottom. Yet their fans do nothing but get behind their team. Do you see Everton or Villa fans saying their ashamed? You don't because they still believe they can have a good season, and Arsenal can too. We're in a great position in the F.A cup, decent position in the Champions League, where the continental style clearly suits us and the team plays with a lot more freedom. We are only 5 points behind Villa. Who honestly believes Villa and Everton won't drop points between now and end of season. I firmly believe we'll finish 3rd at the very least. We're going through a terrible patch in front of goal. Wenger is correct to say its psychological. Nobody can say it's for a lack of quality. Van Persie, Vela, Nasri, Arshavin all are able and know where the goal is. I'm convinced some day soon we'll hammer a team in the premiership, that team could be W.B.A on tues. The returns of Cesc, Eduardo, Rosicky and Walcott will be vital for us in the race for fourth. Against Sunderland the side lacked drive and hunger but the bottom line is we create a healthy amount of chances per game and keep the back door shut. We're still 13 games unbeaten in the league. Finishing, as it has been for a while is our only problem and we'll break out of the slump once we score one, more will come just like london buses and we'll all be full of praise for the team, and the manager again. It's actually quite funny how these fans can one minute say "oh great performance!! Wenger's a genius!" Then the next few games we go through a bad patch and you hear fans say they've had enough of a man who has given our club trophies, class, style, and so much quality. Our squad really is littered with unbelievable quality with the exception of 2 or 3 players who hardly play for the shirt or are just simply incapable. I recall Arsenal fans were over the moon in '95 when Bruce Rioch lead us to the Uefa cup by finishing 5th in the league. How things change. I wonder how fan's who say things like theyre ashamed to be Arsenal fans will feel if in only a couple of months from now the Champions League and F.A cup are sitting in the Emirates stadium trophy cabinet. You could just Imagine the same fans saying "I knew it all along! In Wenger we trust!!" Plonkers.
