Terminally Ill Train Robber Wants to Watch Arsenal

Image by Getty Images via Daylife An ill famous train robber named Ronnie Briggs said he wants to watch live Arsenal match before he dies. Ronnie Biggs, 80 years old, was a member of the gang which robbed the Glasgow to London mail train of £2.6 million in used banknotes in 1963. My Biggs's son had already taken his father out of care home to watch Arsenal vs Tottenham on television. Briggs' son said: "My dad would love to go to the game, but it is not the easiest of things to get him over there. It has got to have the right facilities for him. "I would obviously have to take him in a wheelchair and of course there is a limit to the amount of time I can keep him out of the nursing home. Ronnie Briggs was recently freed from prison on compassionate grounds.
