Arsenal travel to the hawthorns this evening in tremendous spirit following their superbly sustained unbeaten run and......had you going! In all seriousness it's a big game and a must win one at that. Cutting the gap to three points will no doubt ensure some pressure thrown Villa's way. It will be interesting to see whether Wenger starts with Arshavin, judging by the Russian's recent complaints of fatigue during the last two games. On the other hand, he's only played two games so maybe thick and fast fixtures will prove money in the back for Arshavin on his attempts to adapt to the English game. With Gallas injured it's yet another chance for Djourou to stake a claim. To be honest I don't think it matters how well he plays, when Gallas is fit, Gallas will play, don't think there is any doubt about that. I feel sorry for the lad, as when he is called upon he does a decent job. West Brom do like to get the ball down and play, a tactic which will no doubt in my view play into Arsenal's hands tonight. They're not a bolton, or...quite frankly every other team in the premiership except us and them, who get in your face and deprive you of the space that Arsenal so desperately need in order to be effective and play their way. The prime reason we do so well against Italian and Spanish teams, who will allow you time and space on the ball. So will Albion. With this in mind, I feel Arsenal could get the win they need, it could even be a rout. Thinking again though, Fulham did have a decent amount of chances and I fear that's due to the defending of some of our midfield rather than our defence. Our defence seems to almost always be exposed when teams counter attack. I hope if Song plays he stays focused and holds his position. I'd be way more comfortable if I saw Diaby on the team sheet instead. With Diaby playing last Sat, the Cameroon international might just get the nod alongside Denilson, who in my view is an outstanding midfielder with almost everything in his locker. If he practiced on his shooting and had a pop at goal some more he could well be our Lampard, except far better. The boy tracks back, goes forward, makes fantastic interventions like Gilberto did, a good array of passing and while he's not the quickest, he has an awesome engine. You see him in every position on the pitch throughout the 90 mins. He could be a big player for us tonight as I think he grows in each game. Bendtner is likely to start alongside Van Persie having missed most of the Fulham game, with Nasri on the right and Vela on the left. I doubt Bendtner will play wide left, I think that is a tactic strictly reserved for Europe. I can see plenty of chances again for the Arsenal as West Brom have no choice but to go for it, giving us the space necessary to hurt them, but yet again its whether or not we can take them. I believe the booing by the Arsenal fans must've drilled into the players heads, I think they're sick and tired of not scoring, and will be hell bent on proving a point tonight, coming out all guns blazing.
