With Arsene Wenger peppered with questions by the media over the weekend on the subject of bringing in striking talent to his Arsenal, and having dismissed almost every rumour, just who is left available to come in and do a job from now until may. Carlton Cole, Zarate, Bellamy, Van Nistelrooy, Gignac and Chamakh are just a few of the names that have been constantly linked to the club in recent times, however with the Arsenal boss laughing off the rumours, could he be just playing with the media as usual, or are his eyes really on different targets. One man who Wenger hasn't ruled out signing in this transfer window is Chelsea's Salomon Kalou. To be fair he hasn't had a mention but he is a player who's long been linked, can't get many games at chelsea but still managing to get on the scoresheet five times this season. I've always rated him, as he plays with determination and directness, has blistering pace, fair enough his finishing is erratic at times but for me with games he can only improve, which won't happen warming blue benches in West London. He's got the steel we need. However I have to say it's looking more unlikely by the day, signing a striker that is. The most probable outcome is a return for Sol Campbell and now that Denilson is injured, Arsenal could go back in for Reo Coker in a bargain deal. One thing is for sure, a lot of money won't be spent and with Bendtner making his return soon, A forward arriving doesn't look too likely.
