Zenit St Petersburg have revealed they are to decide whether to sanction the sale of Andrei Arshavin to Arsenal tomorrow. It was originally reported the deadline would be the 26th (next monday) for a deal to be made but according to Sky Sports News Zenit are still willing to sell to Arsenal, and are currently mulling over whether to allow the playmaker to leave for Arsenal's £12 million offer; £6m short of what the Russian club originally were willing to accept. Representatives of Zenit seem clearly worried about the prospect of losing their star player on the cheap, following the player and agent's admission Arshavin could buy out his contract come november, thus letting in a plethora of clubs and having no alternative but to sell for far cheaper than what the gunners are currently offering. Well done Arsene, don't be bullied. £12m - Take it or leave it Zenit. More details will follow.
