Arsenal’s long-awaited clearout could finally be around the corner as Arsene Wenger prepares to empty his squad of dead weight during the January transfer window. The Daily Mail reports that the heated Annual General Meeting this week has forced the Gunners to hasten the clearout process, with Andrei Arshavin, Johan Djourou, Marouane Chamakh, Sebastian Squillaci and Theo Walcott all on the chopping block.
Walcott is the most high-profile candidate being earmarked for an exit as the winger has been locked in contract negotiations for a while now, but neither party is close to reaching an agreement and the club could have no option but to find a buyer in January.
