Arsenal reported to have bid for Soldado

A number of reports appeared across quite a few Italian websites today claiming that Arsenal have submitted a €20 million bid for striker Roberto Soldado who is currently playing with Valencia.  I’m not overly sure why the press there seemed to have been reporting this issue as widely as they are unless they are hoping that it means should Arsenal sign Soldado they won’t go in for Fernando Llorente who is being linked with a number of Italian clubs.
Regardless, when you look through all of the reports on the Italian sites you see that they all come from the same source – Caughtoffside. Heading to the source article you find that they claim their knowledge comes from the site Les Transferts, so when you go to their site, you see that their source is Marca.
