As the end of Pat Rice’s career as Wenger’s number two comes to an end, the Daily Mirror has claimed that Arsenal’s youth coach Steve Bould will be the Frenchman’s assistant manager next season.
Rice, a member of the double winning Arsenal team in 1971, has been forced to step down due to a chronic knee condition after a long and successful management career at Arsenal spanning over 25 years.
His supposed replacement, Steve Bould, is also former Arsenal player and was a part of George Graham’s infamous back-four. He is claimed to be a popular choice among the candidates.
