Arsenal To Fight Liverpool For American Star

The two English giants Arsenal and Liverpool are set to battle it out for the signature of Fulham’s in-form striker Clint Dempsey, claim reports.

Liverpool have publicly revealed their interest for the United States striker after their co-owner Tom Werner said, ”Any team would be lucky to have Clint Dempsey playing on their squad”. The Reds are almost certain to make a summer bid for the 29-year old, who has hit top form this season, notching up his 23rd goal of the season.
Dempsey will be entering into the final year of his contract, and has so far declined a contract extension which has led to rumorus which suggest that the striker is ready to leave the Cottagers this season.
