Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to use the heartbreak of losing Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie at the last minute in order to land Liverpool’s Luis Suarez for £40m, according to the Mirror.
In the past two summers Wenger has been forced to sell Van Persie and Fabregas at the 11th hour, as it’s difficult to keep unhappy players at the club against their will.
Whilst this has exasperated fans at the Emirates Stadium in the past, they may be more accepting of the tactic when the boss uses it to land Suarez for £40m.
There has been much confusion over a clause in the Uruguayan’s contract that the striker’s representatives think if activated, gives the 26-year-old permission to leave.
