Arsene’s midfield “Panic Buys”

Wenger, was highly criticised at the start of the season for his “Panic buys”, especially by his own supporter’s. So did he mess up or not?
When Arsene signed Arteta (30) from Everton for a fee of £10 million, he was labeled as a “panic buy” as a replacement for the un-loyal Samir Nasri and Fabregas who had his heart set for Barca. Many fans stated that Wenger could have brought a younger star, with more prospects, for a slighty higher price. Whereas, other Arsenal fans were optimistic like myself, to see the Spaniard play, especially as he has not had a breakthrough with the national squad.
