Belhanda: Giroud warned Mannone about Panenka

Speaking to Le 10 Sport, Montpellier’s Younes Belhanda has claimed that Arsenal’s Vito Mannone didn’t listen to Olivier Giroud ahead of the penalty as the Frenchman warned his keeper that Belhanda would try to dink his penalty when his side were awarded one for Vermaelen’s foul in the Champions League match last week.
Belhanda said
Regarding my penalty against Arsenal, I think Olivier told his keeper that I would try a Panenka but he did not believe him.
The penalty, which Mannone was close to saving and would have had no bother simply scooping in to his arms had he stayed in the middle of the goal following Giroud’s advice, gave the French side the lead in the game although it seemed to fire Arsenal in to life who scored a quick fire double which they then managed to protect in order to collect all three points in the opening group...
