Cavani tells clubs to pay up

Napoli star Edinson Cavani has told potential suitors not to be put off by his sizeable price tag, Italian press have reported.
The quotes, picked up by the Daily Mail, send mixed messages from the Uruguay striker, who says he is happy at Napoli for now, but that if a club is serious about signing him they should pay the £54million release fee in his contract.
“If a club has a clear project and they want to focus on me, they can’t be frightened in front of this figure.
“For now, I’m not thinking about [my future]. Then it will be up to the club to take into consideration what should be done.”
