Cup defeat shows lack of depth in Arsenal squad

One thing that was very clear in the cup defeat yesterday was the Gunners’ lack of depth up front. For yesterday’s match, with Arsenal’s  two best attacking players were not available, Olivier Giroud with suspension and Theo Walcott through injury, Arsene Wenger was only able to rely on Lukas Podolski to lead the line and sadly the German was a disappointment in the game. For the other two attacking players, the less said about them the better it is for my blood pressure.
With the game on the line and the team needing a boost, who does Arsene Wenger send on to the field,  Marouane Chamakh, who was the only central attacking player available. As soon as the Moroccan came on the field, I knew we were in trouble. Come on, your team is losing 1-0 and the player you call to rescue the game is an out of form striker? It just says a lot about the depth...
