Giroud’s Move To Arsenal Confirmed

Arsenal and French club Montpellier have reportedly come to an agreement over the transfer of striker Oliver Giroud, and an official announcement remains to me made, but not until after Euro 2012.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s affection of the French Ligue 1 is quite well-known. Montpellier’s Olivier Giroud succeeds Chamakh in a move to Emirates Stadium. A reported fee in the range of £12-13-million has been agreed on between both clubs.
25-year-old Olivier Giroud has scored 33 goals in 71 league matches for Montpellier and has been one of the vital contributors to Montpellier’s title-winning run this season. These performances have seen him fall on many clubs’ wish-list but he seems keen on training under Wenger.
Arsenal have already signed German forward Lukas Podolski and Giroud’s ad...
