Hill-Wood: We can’t pay RvP huge wages, but we will bring in more players

Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood has revealed the North London side aren’t able to compete with £250k wages other clubs can offer, but is confident Arsenal will bring in more players in a bid to challenge for the title next year and retain captain Robin van Persie.
The Dutchman was in scintillating form last season netting 30 Premier League goals in Arsenal’s late surge up the table after a woeful start to the season. And with the newly crowned PFA and FWA Player of the Year’s contract set to expire next summer, reports are suggesting the Gunners talisman is on the way out as he searches to add medals to his mantlepiece.
