Innocent question starts ‘Cesc to Arsenal’ rumour.

Just last week one of the Spanish sports dailies, I think it was Marca, but it could have be AS, ran a story about how they didn’t think that Cesc Fabregas was in the new Barcelona manager’s plans and that he might find it difficult to find a place for him in the side. As a result of this they reported that Cesc was sad (it’s a theme in football this weather it seems) and his form was dipping.
When I saw this article I simply pondered on Twitter ‘imagine if he was to return to Arsenal.’ Very quickly this took on a life of its own, why would I say that? What was happening? Could it be true? And before I knew it some websites were reporting the rumour as if it was a possibility. Cesc was returning on loan don’t you know, it was internet Chinese whispers on speed.
