Jersey numbers are meant to be on-field designation for players but overtime, some numbers have become branded special and players that puts on such numbers are seen as stars regardless of the position been played. Those numbers are 1 for the top keeper, 5 for the central and dependable defender, 10, creative hub of the team and 9 for the top striker of the team. The No 9 at Arsenal has been worn by great players in the past but in recent years, strikers that have worn the shirt in the Wenger era have not really lived to the hype of been the top man up front.
