Lower tier English club, Brighton have opened talks with Arsenal over a possible loan move for their defender, Ignasi Miquel.

The Spanish defender is highly rated at the Emirates and made 9 first team appearances last term for the Gunners, out of which four came in the Premier League and one in the Champions League. He also played every minute of Arsenal’s Carling Cup run. However, he lies way back in the pecking order with Thomas Vermaelen, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Johan Djourou ahead of him.
