Levy asked Madrid not to sell Ozil to Arsenal

According to the Spanish site El Confidencial Tottenham’s Daniel Levy contacted Real Madrid on Monday to ask them not to sell Mesut Ozil to Arsenal.
The site claims that Levy felt betrayed by Real Madrid after it was revealed that Ozil would be moving to Arsenal after he had sold them Gareth Bale. Obviously the €100m that he got for the world’s most over-rated player meant that he also felt he was owed another favour.
If this story is true, and because it makes me happy I am going to believe that it is, it shows just how scared and obsessed Spurs are with Arsenal. Despite spending over £100m to replace their one-man team they still felt the need to try and stop Arsenal signing Ozil.
