Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal: Robbery Van Persie

What to make of that, then? Not much fun to watch in the most part, but as a result it’s only shaded in terms of satisfaction by the wins over Spurs and Chelsea. During the game we were so open defensively, so unable to impose our own style of play,  that co-blogger Dave and I agreed it was one of the least enjoyable matches of the season. But the result? Immense. Joyous.
Remember that this is Liverpool side that hasn’t lost in the league all season. Put the cup exits aside for a second, if you can, and focus on the fact that in the last three games we’ve also won against O’Neill’s reinvigorated Sunderland side (who took maximum points off City) and of course comprehensively unbuttoned a Spurs team supposedly enjoying their best season eve...
